Gender Equality and the digital revolution – How Technology empowers women

The Germany chapter of Women in Tech Africa  invites you to  a panel discussion about technology empowering women with respect to gender equality. Engage with our panelists as they share from their personal experiences and use this opportunity to connect and expand your network.

The panelists include:

Joy Zenz

Founder of African Women in Europe, A mother of two, living in Germany. Her aim is to connect African Women living in Europe and around the world through AWE platform irrespective of their geographical locations.
Prior to raising her children, Ms. Zenz has worked in administrative offices and organised events in Europe. She has a diploma in Institution Management.
Currently, she works at Novartis Pharmaceutical Company in Basel Switzerland as an Executive administrator, communication and event assistant. During her free time she manages AWE.
She is currently involved in marketing Africa here in Europe by joining up in different ventures with different companies.
She believes in African women empowerment here in Europe. Through the AWE platform African women have been able to connect and build a positive image of African Women in Europe.
She believes in working together as a team and hence the Motto: “Together we are STRONG……..”

Michelle C. King

Michelle is finalizing degrees in organization management and leadership and women and gender studies, and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi. She is a creative and dynamic speaker certified in the Connection Practice focused on conflict resolution, a certified coach/speaker/trainer in the mentorship program of the John Maxwell Team, and also has certifications in mindfulness training. Michelle has been extremely successful training personnel serving some of the top organizations in the world. She also is a senior adviser, speech writer, and sits on the board of Save the Earth Projects, Inc. Michelle’s passion is bringing sustainable solutions to the future of the workforce focusing on diversity and inclusion as the cornerstone of personal and professional empowerment.

Farirai Mubvuma

Farirai Mubvuma has profound experience spanning across IT and Human Resources. She is also a certified Project Manager (PMP) and MBA holder. She is currently working at SAP as part of the Afrika Kommt! fellowship which is an initiative that promotes collaboration between German companies and young executives from Sub-Saharan Africa. Farirai is passionate about empowerment of youth and women in Africa through technology.
