Women in tech Africa is thrilled to announce that the first event of the year for the Ireland chapter will be held the 22nd of March, in the Liquor rooms Dublin!
Under the key theme of “Setting yourself up for a good year“, this event will help gain insights, advice and strategies for positioning ourselves for professional growth in 2017.
We are excited to share this speakers’ line-up of women in tech with inspiring stories and careers working and leading in global tech companies
- Esther Kinuthia – Associate Account Strategist @ Google. Esther is also a Blogger, a YouTuber (Pan-Africa Youth), an African Youth Philanthropist and was the youngest nominee of the 2014 Business Daily’ Top 40 under 40 women in Kenya.
- Barbara McCarthy – Director of Engineering @HubSpot. Barbara leads Hubspot’s Dublin engineering team, who work on a number of the company’s core products. She has a history of growing large tech teams having held positions such as VP of Software Development for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Software Development Director for Inspired Gaming Group. Her tech experience spans over 20 years in various industries – Manufacturing, Consultancy, Gaming, Education, Sales and Marketing. She is passionate about technology and diversity within the workplace and is a regular speaker at industry events.
- Lucy Lane – Account Manager @ Oracle. Lucy is helping Oracle’s customer-organizations fulfil their IT strategy, providing them with information on the Oracle Core Technology products, relating to Oracle Database, Security, Availability, Integration and management.
In a panel discussion, they will share the lessons learned in their careers as well as tips and advice for growing professionally and managing & advancing effectively a career in tech.
This session is intended to be interactive, and the audience is highly invited to contribute.
